WHAT ARE THE HAZARDS IN COMMUNICATION?

Hazard communication , sometimes referred to us the right to know, is a way of passing dangerous information that a product contains to the users or employees of a certain company.This is a accomplished by employers passing information to their employees on the possible danger that is posed by the products they are using. Manufacturers on the other hand must label their products to make sure that users do not get affected adversely in the product contains dangerous elements.


Hazard communication is achieved by properly documenting and maintaining the hazard communication program for the work place including lists of:
  • hazardous chemicals present
  • labeling containers of chemicals being shipped to other sections
  • preparation and distribution of safety data sheets to employees and employers
  • development and implementation of employee training programs regarding hazards of chemicals and protective measures.
  • All manufacturers are supposed to develop a safety data sheet for each substance they manufacture and provide access to employers to safety data sheet .
Therefore as a procedure all substances are supposed to be labeled so that each user of the substance may be a ware of the dangers the substances pose to them and how they are supposed to handle them whenever they are using them.
